Nguyen Thuy, a resident of Cau Giay District, powered down her laptop and headed home at 1:00 am on Sunday after a night of work at a 24/7 coffee shop near the famous West Lake.

The coffee shop is bustling from 9:00 pm until 1:00 am.

“I went to the shop at 5:00 pm on Saturday to watch the sunset and finish my assignments,” Thuy recollected.

“Because I work at the office all week, I spend my weekends going out to relax and fulfill my responsibilities, so I went to the shop and brought my laptop along.”

Many other young people can enjoy coffee or work at the coffee shop from night until morning.

While the youth view the café as a comfortable workplace, many families choose to bring their children to the coffee shop for entertainment due to its large sandbox.

“We usually choose coffee shops that allow children and have a playground so that our kids can have fun, and we don’t have to spend a lot of time taking care of them,” said Nguyen Huy, who resides in Bac Tu Liem District.

Spanning an area of over 30,000 square meters, the coffee shop offers outdoor seating, providing fresh air, comfort, and a serene atmosphere for café-goers. They can choose to sit on a mat, a chair, or a beanbag.

The trend of enjoying the space at a 24/7 coffee shop went viral on TikTok, rapidly gaining the coffee shop’s popularity.

Journeying 20 kilometers to reach the trendy coffee shop, Le Huu Kim Anh, a freshman at Phenikaa University in Ha Dong District, and her friends held a birthday party there.

They only had to pay for their drinks and were not charged for bringing their own food. Besides, there was no time limit, according to Kim Anh.

“I’ve been to the café twice. We can chat comfortably at the shop without worrying about noise or disturbing others as we would in an indoor shop,” Kim Anh remarked.

Furthermore, the flexible arrangement of tents and beanbags gives the guests a campsite ambiance, she added.

The most popular spot at the café is under the coconut trees, overlooking a nearby flower valley. The area is adorned with lights, creating the illusion of a real beach.

The coffee shop serves an average of 200-300 customers each night, double the number of visitors during the daytime, revealed a staff member.

People often visit the shop to study, sing songs, chat, and some even come to sleep, the staff member mentioned.

Drinks at the shop range from VND50,000 ($2.06) to VND70,000 ($2.89) each.

During the nighttime, café-goers can enjoy live music shows and watch football matches on a large screen.

Another popular 24/7 coffee shop is located on Tong Duy Tan Street in Hanoi, boasting a spacious environment.

Developing various nighttime tourism products is one of the strategies carried out by the city’s tourism agencies to attract local and international visitors.

By the end of November, the city will launch nighttime tours of ancient towns to captivate travelers.
