Kicked off in the bustling city of Hanoi on Thursday morning, this event was designed to introduce guests to a selection of travel products that focused on experiencing the unique cultures of Vietnam and other nations around the world.

The travel fair features more than 450 booths run by exhibitors representing provinces and cities across Vietnam, as well as tour operators and accommodation providers.

Representatives from fifteen countries and territories – such as Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, and Nepal – come together to host booths at the event.

One of the highlights of the event was the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) booth, which allowed guests to try on a traditional Korean hanbok and take South Korean-style pictures. Visitors were delighted with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the country’s culture and take home a lasting memory of the experience.

In the past, very few Vietnamese tourists visited South Korea during the winter months, prompting the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) to launch initiatives aimed at promoting winter tours. Lee Jae Hoon, the KTO’s chief representative in Vietnam, commented, “We want to encourage more Vietnamese to come and experience South Korea in the winter.”

According to Hoon, Busan and Kangwon are two of the South Korean destinations that are most heavily promoted to Vietnamese tourists. These cities offer a variety of activities and attractions to explore, making them ideal vacation spots for travelers. Whether it’s taking in the breathtaking views of the Busan coastline or enjoying the majestic natural beauty of Kangwon, these locations are sure to provide an unforgettable experience.

VITM Hanoi 2023 will span four days and offer more than 10,000 discounted tours and travel products to visitors. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the city and its attractions while taking advantage of exclusive deals.
