The celebrations are due to take place above the Thu Thiem tunnel which runs across the Saigon river in Thu Duc City, as well as at Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11.

Furthermore, a wide range of cultural events will get underway specifically for the occasion, including a photo exhibition marking 49 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-April 30, 2024) and the 138th International Labour Day (May 1, 1886 – May 1, 2024), as well as an incense offering ceremony at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial.

A series of art performances will also be held at cultural centers, amusement parks, and public sites throughout the city to herald the April 30 victory.

As usual State employees will have two days off on April 30 and May 1.
