As a conductor, Fan founded and acted as the first Music Director of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of Hong Kong (China). Recently, he was appointed Board Director and Chief Conductor of the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra of Vietnam.
Besides Fan has taught violin, orchestral technique, and chamber music at multiple universities. The concert is scheduled to take place at Hanoi Opera House on July 8.
Featuring the symphonies composed during the Romantic era, the concert will be viewed as an emotional night that classical music lovers cannot miss.
The event will have the presence of top international musicians from the Republic of Korea, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Beijing Symphony Orchestra, Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra and Vietnam National Opera & Ballet Theatre.
Renowned cellist Richard Bamping of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and pianist Hokyong Choi of the Republic of Korea are expected to put on impressive performances at the concert.
Trang Trinh’s musical dream
Pianist Trinh Mai Trang (also known as Trang Trinh) graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has a long list of international prizes and has all the criteria needed to flourish on the Western stage but she chose to come back to her fatherland to realize the dream of bringing classical music to the masses in her own way.
