In order to commemorate the occasion, a diverse range of activities will be held with the theme “Thang Nam nho Bac”, known in English as “Remembering President Ho Chi Minh in May”, with events lasting until May 31.

A display of photos, artifacts, literary works, and articles which feature the late president spending time with ethnic minority people will also be showcased.

In addition, as many as 80 people from 12 different ethnic groups will participate in activities aimed at introducing visitors to a range of traditional cultural activities.

Alongside these events, songs, dance performances, folk games, and other traditional cultural activities performed by various ethnic groups will also be held to entertain guests.

The occasion is expected to honour the cultural heritage of the country’s ethnic groups, while simultaneously promoting cultural exchanges, boosting tourism, as well as contributing to fostering national unity.

Tourists entering the site are advised to strictly follow health recommendations against the novel coronavirus, including wearing face masks, washing hands with soap or disinfectant solution, and also keeping a distance of at least two metres from others.
