They include an exhibition featuring Hungary’s contemporary paintings at Can Tho City Museum, a display of Vietnamese calligraphy, a book and painting exhibition on Vietnam and Hungary.
Vietnamese and Hungarian signature dishes and a variety of folk art forms will also be introduced to visitors to the event.
In addition, free screenings of Hungarian films will be organized at Luu Huu Phuoc Park in the city.
A seminar introducing Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme of the Hungarian Government and a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Kaposvár and Can Tho universities will be organised on the occasion.
Notably, a street dance programme will take place from 6 PM to 7 PM everyday throughout the event, during which dancers will dress in traditional costumes to deliver cheerful Hungarian dances under the accompany of joyful music.
The cultural week is held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam – Hungary diplomatic relations (1950 -2019). It provides an opportunity for the city dwellers to gain a deeper understanding about the land and people of Hungary while boosting cultural exchange and educational cooperation between the two countries.
