Nguyen Huong Lan has enriched the literary landscape in Vietnam by translating some of the world’s most beloved works, including Little Nicolas, as well as books by renowned authors Marc Levy and Guillaume Musso. Through her translations, Lan aims to foster a love for reading and cultivate a cultural appreciation among families and children.

In 2017, Lan’s passion for literature and education inspired her to open a bookstore in Vietnam. Her primary motivation was to nurture her children’s intellectual curiosity and extend the same opportunity to other families.
Esteemed cultural scholar Huu Ngoc endorsed her endeavor, recognizing the potential impact a bookstore could have on both individual families and society as a whole. And so, Blue Horizon, a quaint bookstore in Hoan Kiem District, was born.
“While selling books may not bring immense wealth, it offers a sense of fulfillment,” Lan shared. “Once we achieve stability in our lives, we often seek to leave a meaningful legacy for our children and contribute to the betterment of our community.”

Building on the success of Blue Horizon, Lan established InBook, marking a new chapter in her journey. InBook was created to meet the growing demand for English and French-language books among Vietnamese readers.
“At InBook, we strive to offer a diverse and captivating selection of foreign-language books,” Lan explained. “Our catalog will continuously evolve to bring readers new and exciting titles across all genres.”
From its inception, InBook forged partnerships with foreign publishers, navigating the complex process of importing books from international publishing groups. This ensured a steady supply of quality reading material for its customers.
Today, InBook boasts a loyal customer base of over 10,000 readers and an impressive collection of 7,000 book titles in English and French, all directly imported. Among its dedicated patrons is Julien Audin…
