Organised by Hanoi city, the festival will take place from May 13 to 15, one of the biggest activities in 2022 aimed at stimulating tourism after a long period of stagnation.
The festival aims to encourage people to travel to Hanoi, while at the same time organising tourism programmes for Hanoians to travel to other places safely. In particular, the event is also expected to encourage the use of services of tourism enterprises located in Hanoi city.
This is also an opportunity to promote Hanoi as a tourist destination to international friends and tourists on the occasion of the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31), to be held in Hanoi and neighboring provinces.
The festival includes a common space with 2D and 3D miniatures, introducing Hanoi as a tourist destination for visitors in the area in front of the statue of King Ly Thai To and Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Lai, Le Thach streets. Visitors will be able to check-in with model designs, miniatures of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature Complex), Son Tay Ancient Citadel, Hoa Lo Prison Relic.
The event will feature around 80 pavilions from provinces, cities and tourism businesses at Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Thach and Le Lai streets, which will introduce both tourist and local specialties and tour and tourism products. The pavilion area of international travel agencies will introduce the tourist destinations of other countries, promoting bilateralism.
In addition, the festival also has a space for craft villages and Hanoi’s cuisine, introducing a number of typical craft village products, as well as the outstanding dishes and specialties of the capital.
