THE HANOI TIMES — Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued an urgent directive, demanding accelerated and coordinated efforts to finalize the Quang Trung Campaign. The mission: to reconstruct and repair homes for disaster-affected residents by January 15, with zero tolerance for delays.
The Prime Minister emphasized the objective of completing the reconstruction ahead of schedule. This ensures that all impacted families secure safe housing, stabilizing their lives before the 14th National Party Congress. Additionally, it allows them to resume production and business activities in time for the Lunar New Year (Tet holiday).

The directive was dispatched to leaders of central cities Hue and Danang, along with provinces Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong. Relevant ministries and agencies were also included.
Prime Minister Chinh delegated full responsibility for the progress and quality of the Quang Trung Campaign to Party secretaries and chairpersons of provincial People’s Committees.
He underscored that any challenges beyond local authority must be reported directly to him by January 5, reiterating that delays will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

The Prime Minister also urged citizens to embrace self-reliance, actively overcome challenges, and restore their homes and livelihoods.
He instructed relevant ministries to provide close guidance on agricultural recovery, ensure essential goods, stabilize market supply, and restore critical infrastructure such as schools and medical facilities.
The Ministers of National Defense and Public Security were tasked with deploying maximum resources to support local efforts in completing the campaign on time.
Military Delivers Nearly 800 Homes to Disaster Victims
In just over a month, nearly all 34,759 damaged homes have been repaired, and almost 800 new homes have been handed over to affected residents, according to the Ministry of National Defense.
Forces swiftly developed plans, mobilized personnel, equipment, and materials, working in close collaboration with local authorities. These teams were deployed to affected areas to rebuild and repair homes for residents.
General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, sent a letter of encouragement to officers, soldiers, and militia members participating in the Quang Trung Campaign. He praised their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts throughout the campaign.
