The music concert titled “Ghibli Music Night” by Hanoi Ensemble & Friends will take place at 8 p.m. on March 15 at the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, located at No.27 Quang Trung Street, Hanoi.

According to the organizer, the concert night will feature a variety of music from famous Japanese animated fantasy films, including songs from My Neighbor Totoro like “The Village In May” and “Mother,” songs from Whisper of the Heart like “Reminiscence” and “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” as well as the song “On A Clear Day” from Kiki’s Delivery Service, among others.
The Hanoi Ensemble is comprised of young artists and teachers from the Vietnam National Academy of Music who have received education in Vietnam and several renowned conservatories abroad. The members of the Hanoi Ensemble have achieved numerous prestigious national and international music awards. They regularly participate and perform in various concerts, music festivals, and cultural exchange programs both in Vietnam and abroad.

Concert attendees are also invited to join a Vietnamese toy figurine making class called “to he” and attend a lecture on “to he” by Vietnamese meritorious artist – artisan Dang Van Khang. Priority will be given to children and their families.
The Japanese Garage Concert is a series of performances held in the garage and courtyard of the Japan Foundation Center, with the aim of bringing musical diversity to Hanoi through showcasing Japanese music performed by renowned musicians.
The concert intends to celebrate the 51st anniversary of Japan-Vietnam diplomatic relations in 2024.
