Hanoi’s theater community has once again showcased its dedication to supporting those in need, with a series of performances aimed at raising funds for flood relief.

On September 22, the Ho Guom Opera House presented The List of Agents II, a play that honors the Vietnamese Public Security Intelligence Force and their contributions to the country’s peaceful restoration. The story delves into the tragic struggles faced by spies in 1954, as France withdrew from northern Vietnam, leaving a network of spies in their wake. The battle for the list of agents takes center stage, showcasing the silent sacrifices and unwavering determination of the people of Hanoi to safeguard their capital.

The Ho Guom Theater staff had previously contributed VND100 million ($4,200), demonstrating their own initiative to help those in need.

In a joint effort, the Vietnam Cai Luong Theater and the Institute for Research, Preservation, and Development of Southeast Asian Culture, will present a cai luong (reformed theater) play, The Sun at Night of the Century. This performance, taking place on September 28 at the Vietnam Cheo Theater in Hanoi, aims to raise additional funds for those impacted by natural disasters.
