2021/2022 AFF Suzuki Cup Championship

The 2018 champions, Vietnam, were considered the favorites for the 2021/2022 AFF Suzuki Cup Championship. However, teams like Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore were determined to win and take the title from the two-time champions.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the tournament was postponed from 2020 and the format was changed. The entire tournament was held in Singapore this time.

Ten teams were invited to participate and were divided into two groups, A and B. The top two teams from each group would advance to the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, Thailand faced Vietnam. Thailand emerged victorious with a score of 2-0 on December 23, 2021.
