The exhibition entitled “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle” that includes 300 documentary photos and objects related to president Ho Chi Minh are on display at President Ho Chi Minh Monument – Presidential Palace, Hanoi.

Newly unveiled documents
According to Nguyen Thi Binh, Deputy Head of the Collection – Inventory – Documentation Department of the Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, the itinerary of Amiral Latouche Treville ship is one of the first published documents.
The ship is associated with the legendary journey to find ways to save the country of the patriotic Vietnamese young man- Van Ba (aka President Ho Chi Minh). His luggage for the lifetime journey was just a burning desire of “Freedom for my compatriots, independence for my fatherland”.
Among these newly published documents are also the records and reports of French secret agents who spied on Nguyen Ai Quoc from 1919 to 1922 in France; the ‘Minutes of judgment – Vinh court (Nghe An) signed October 10, 1929 by French colonialists to declare ‘death in absentia’ of some communists, including Nguyen Ai Quoc; Letter from the French Colonial Minister to the British Foreign Minister on June 10, 1931, requesting the extradition of Nguyen Ai Quoc; The map of prisons in Guangxi – China where Ho Chi Minh was incarcerated from August 1942 to September 1943.

The exhibition is divided into three parts: “President Ho Chi Minh – an exemplary revolutionary moral symbol”; “The whole Party, People and Army to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle” and “The love of people in the world towards Uncle Ho”.
The main part of the exhibition, which is titled “President Ho Chi Minh – an exemplary revolutionary moral symbol” features 170 valuable photos, documents and objects showcasing the hard journey to find the way to save the country from foreign domination by Nguyen Ai Quoc (aka Ho Chi Minh), praising President Ho Chi Minh’s devotion to serving the fatherland and people as well as his simple style of living.

Organizers of the exhibition have said that they had carefully selected the simplest but meaningful photos about Ho Chi Minh’s daily activities for the display. The photos, though very simple, have won the hearts of visitors. Some of these most interesting photos which are on display at the central part of the exhibition are: President Ho Chi Minh was hoeing the land to grow vegetables; Uncle Ho read books or took a rest on his hammock; and Uncle Ho was playing with children.
The exhibition “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology” runs until June 18.
