The exhibition, titled “Transformation”, is showcasing 17 of Kisiliczyk’s abstract paintings inspired by the nature and plants of Vietnam.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the exhibition late last week, Polish Ambassador to Vietnam Wojciech Gerwel said Poland and Vietnam have developed fruitful relationships across multiple fields in recent years. At present, thousands of Vietnamese students are studying at Polish universities and there is a growing presence of Vietnamese communities in Polish cities.
Ambassador Gerwel thanked the Vietnamese Government and people for offering medical supplies and other relief to Polish doctors during the Covid-19 pandemic. Regarding the “Transformation” exhibition, Gerwel described Kisiliczyk’s artworks as vivid proof of the close friendship between the two countries.
Born and educated in Poland, Kisiliczyk completed her Masters’ Degree in Painting and Textile Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where she enjoyed success at many joint and solo exhibitions.
Her artworks have been regularly featured at the London Affordable Art Fair as well as presented at other prestigious events such as the London Art Fair and London Art Biennale. Her paintings are also part of art collections in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Poland and South Africa.
Kisiliczyk’s deep connection with nature has always been an endless and exciting source of inspiration for her art. Pursuing a passion for travel, she has spent the last few years traveling around the world to discover new landscapes and hone her individual perception of the natural world that inspires her oil paintings and murals. She is currently living in Vietnam, which has become a home to her for over a year now.
The “Transformation” exhibition will run until November 19 at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.
