10th Flower Fest: ‘Da Lat Flowers – Symphony of Colors’
Mark your calendars for the highly-anticipated 10th Flower Fest in the enchanting city of Da Lat! From December 6 to 31, immerse yourself in a symphony of vibrant colors and captivating aromas as the city transforms into a floral wonderland.
This nearly month-long festival is designed to captivate and entertain travelers from near and far. With a convenient timeframe, visitors have the flexibility to plan their trip to Da Lat and experience this biennial event at their leisure.
As the festival draws to a close, a grand ceremony will be held on the evening of December 31 to bid farewell to 2024 and welcome the new year with open arms.
The theme of this year’s festival, ‘Da Lat Flowers – Symphony of Colors,’ celebrates the city’s thriving flower production industry and pays homage to its recognition as a UNESCO Creative City of Music in October 2023. It’s an occasion to honor the hard work and creativity that flourish in this picturesque city.
Adding to the excitement, a Korean music show will be organized as part of the festival’s diverse cultural offerings.

Throughout December, the city will come alive with approximately 10 music programs and festivals, offering a delightful mix of entertainment and cultural immersion for locals and visitors alike.
In addition to the musical extravaganza, a series of insightful seminars on clean agriculture, green transition, and culture and music growth will provide a platform for knowledge exchange and innovative ideas.
Previous editions of the flower festival have seen Da Lat welcome approximately 700,000 visitors each time, according to the provincial department. This year, with an enticing lineup of music and art shows, the city anticipates a 30% increase in tourist arrivals, creating lasting memories for all who attend.
Rest assured, Da Lat is well-prepared to accommodate this influx of visitors. Lodging facilities and hotels are expected to smoothly manage the increased demand, as the festival and associated events will be spread throughout the month of December.
Building on this success, Lam Dong Province welcomed over five million visitors in the first half of 2024, including 301,000 international tourists, as reported by Nguyen Tien Hai, deputy director of the provincial department, in Lao Dong newspaper.

Legendary Lang Biang
In June 2015, at the 27th Session of the International Coordinating Council of UNESCO’s Man and Biosphere Program (ICC-MAB) held in Paris, the Lang Biang Natural Reserve in Vietnam’s Central Highlands Lam Dong Province has been recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Lang Biang Reserve has retained its values of bio-diversity on a global scale, with the natural scenery mixed in harmony with local cultural features. It has contributed to forming and developing Da Lat to become a city of tourism and an international research centre on tropical forest.
The Offering Ceremony at the Hamlet Entrance of the M’nong People
The offering ceremony at the hamlet entrance is considered the year’s most important communal activity the M’nong people. It is often held in late March and early April of the lunar calendar with the aim of praying to the genies for good weather, bumper crops, health and luck all year round.
