The event, a unique collaboration between Vietnamese circus artists and Japanese magic artists, presents an enchanting tale of a land adorned with cherry blossoms and inhabited by kind-hearted, courageous, and hospitable people. However, this idyllic setting is disrupted when an autocratic king seizes power, casting a shadow over the realm.

Amidst this turmoil, two valiant brothers dare to challenge the mighty king. When their young sister is captured, the older brother embarks on a transformative journey, training tirelessly to rescue her. Along the way, he discovers a secret book, a symbol of courage, imbued with mystical powers.

United in their discontent, the people rise up against the king, leading him to realize that power alone is not enough to rule. He vows to create a nation founded on harmony and equality, where all can thrive together.

This captivating narrative sets the stage for the Japanese magic artists, who embody the spirit of legendary Ninja warriors, to showcase their extraordinary talents. Accompanied by the Vietnam Circus Federation’s extreme circus performances, the show promises to be a thrilling journey.

“We have meticulously crafted and invested in this program, paying attention to both content and technical staging,” shared People’s Artist Tong Toan Thang. “The show will captivate audiences with vibrant and mesmerizing performances, featuring impressive music, lighting, costumes, and performance art. We believe it will delight Vietnamese audiences, especially the younger generation.”

In addition to the Japanese magic artists, the program features the participation of a renowned Japanese choreographer who will choreograph and perform alongside the artists in captivating dance routines.

One of the highlights of the show is the live music performance by a talented young band from Japan. Not only do they showcase their musical prowess, but the band members also exhibit their skillful performance techniques, embodying the image of samurai warriors.

With a runtime of nearly 120 minutes, “Ninja Magic Show” is a collaboration between choreographer People’s Artist Tong Toan Thang and Japanese artists Ai and Yuki. The show offers a diverse range of performances that seamlessly blend circus and magic. From the Umbrella Pedal and Ninja Jumping Bridge to the Adventure Wheel and Double Leather Straps, the audience will be treated to a spectacle of skill and creativity.

Ai and Yuki, the Japanese magic artist duo with a long-standing performance history in Las Vegas, shared that the idea for the show was conceived over a year ago. They had initially planned to debut the show in 2023 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations. However, due to various reasons, the program was postponed until now.

“Although we’ve only been in Vietnam for a few days and haven’t had extensive practice sessions with the Federation’s circus artists, we can already see that their techniques are exceptional,” said Ai and Yuki. “They are incredibly skilled, on par with other international circus artists we’ve worked with. We deeply appreciate their talent and believe that together, we will deliver a show of international caliber. Our hope is that after the Vietnam performance, we can take this show to Japan or even Las Vegas.”

“Ninja Magic Show” will be performed at the Central Circus in Hanoi with eight shows, running from May 17 to 26. The performance on May 24 will be a special free presentation for disabled children.
