The show will feature the participation of 2,024 drones and is expected to set a Southeast Asian record.
The programme is due to take place between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on the night of February 9 ahead of spectacular firework displays which will be let off in 32 venues throughout the capital. It will be live broadcast via media platforms.
Crowds will be able to gather on Nguyen Dinh Thi and Trich Sai streets to enjoy the performance.
Shortly after, high-altitude fireworks will be set off nearby from 00:00 a.m. to 0:15 a.m. on February 10, the first day of the Year of the Dragon.
The light show is set to get plenty of attention from both locals and tourists.
The light show will welcome in the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet, and will feature the dragon of the Ly dynasty, symbolising the spirit and aspirations of Thang Long-Hanoi.
