The ASEAN Riyadh Committee (ARC) organized a successful ASEAN Family Day on December 8th. This event was hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia, as the ARC Chair.
This is the final activity organized by the Vietnamese Embassy as the ARC Chair in Saudi Arabia.

During the event, Vietnamese Ambassador Dang Xuan Dung presented an overview of ARC’s recent activities, which included various first-time initiatives such as a working session with the Secretary of State in charge of foreign affairs of the Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry, a discussion on ASEAN– Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) relations with the Gulf Research Center, and important activities such as the flagraising ceremony to celebrate ASEAN’s Founding Day and the Amazing ASEAN event at the Lulu supermarket chain.
Vietnam’s chairmanship of ARC in 2023 received high appreciation from ASEAN countries, as well as the Diplomatic Corps and local authorities, which further solidified Vietnam’s position and the image of ASEAN as a whole.

Representatives and family members from the ASEAN Embassies of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand showcased traditional dances and music, as well as fun-filled activities for both adults and children.
At the conclusion of the ASEAN Family Day, Ambassador Dang Xuan Dung, who served as the ARC Chair, handed over the 2024 ARC Chairmanship to Indonesian Ambassador Abdulaziz Ahmad.
