Vietnamese and Japanese Students Participate in Exchange Program

An exciting exchange program was recently organized at Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School in Hanoi as part of the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths Program.

The program with the theme of “Vietnam-Japan Friendship” attracted the participation of 11 students from Japan’s Sumiyoshi school and 11 from Hanoi-based Phan Huy Chu Secondary School, along with 300 others from Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School.

This program is part of the activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties, offering an opportunity for the participants to learn about the land, people, culture, and achievements of Japan, as well as the close relations between the people of the two countries.

The program involved 11 students from Japan’s Sumiyoshi school, 11 from Hanoi-based Phan Huy Chu Secondary School, and 300 others from Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School.

Aside from art performances, the participants also took part in other activities such as painting to highlight the land and culture of the two countries, as well as their friendship.

Earlier, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan also organized an exchange event with the theme of “Teenage Ambassadors 2023” for 100 Vietnamese and Japanese high school students.

The annual event, held from November 13-19, was sponsored by the AEON 1% Club Foundation as part of the activities for the young people of the two countries to interact with each other.

Yoshiki Mori, the President of the foundation, said that the event aims to promote friendship between the countries, providing a platform for Japanese youths and their friends from other nations to meet and enhance mutual understanding.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Duc Minh expressed his hope that the students will gain useful and meaningful knowledge and experiences, and become a bridge that further strengthens the sound relations between the two nations.
