This is Mach’s sixth world gold medal.

A team of more than 20 well-trained Vietnamese athletes, including Mach, is participating in the competition, which is being held in Gangwon Province, South Korea from Thursday to Saturday. The competition features over 400 athletes from 60 countries and territories.

The Vietnamese team arrived in South Korea almost a week before the competition to adapt to the weather and familiarize themselves with the conditions.

Thanks to their thorough preparation, the Vietnamese bodybuilding team achieved success on the first official competition day of the tournament.

In addition to Mach’s gold medal, other Vietnamese bodybuilders also excelled in various events.

Specifically, Tran Bao Quoc Vuong and Ho Huy Binh secured two more gold medals in the men’s 65kg and 70kg categories respectively.

Dinh Kim Loan and Nguyen Thi Kim Dung added two more gold medals in the women’s bodybuilding 55kg and fitness 1m65 height categories respectively, bringing the total gold medal count for the Vietnamese delegation to five on the first day of the competition.

Furthermore, Bui Dac Phi Vu, Truong Hoang Long, Bui Thi Thoa, Tran Hoang Duy Thuan, and Tran Thi Cam Tu won five silver medals in the men’s bodybuilding 55kg category, men’s bodybuilding 75kg youth category, women’s bodybuilding over 55kg category, male fitness 1m70 height category, and female fitness 1m65 height category respectively.
