The group held a ceremony on November 5 to commemorate its 10th anniversary and conducted its third congress to select a new executive board to continue promoting its activities.
Currently, the organization has a 32-member executive board and over 350 members. They have visited and donated to centers that care for orphans, the elderly, and children with disabilities in the Czech Republic, as well as engaging in various charitable activities in Vietnam.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung mentioned that the group’s activities have received praise from authorities and people in both the host country and Vietnam.

On this occasion, certificates of merit were awarded to outstanding members of the organization for their contributions to the community.
Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1950, the Czech Republic has provided training for thousands of Vietnamese officials, engineers, and laborers.
As of last year, the Czech Republic had 41 FDI projects in Vietnam with a total capital of $92 million, mainly in the fields of processing, manufacturing, and mining.
The Czech Republic was the first Eastern European country to provide official development assistance (ODA) to Vietnam, totaling approximately $20 million.
Currently, nearly 100,000 Vietnamese people are residing in the Czech Republic.
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala has identified Vietnam as the Czech Republic’s most important partner in Southeast Asia and expressed a desire to enhance bilateral cooperation in all areas.
One of the key pillars of Czech-Vietnamese relations is economic cooperation. Bilateral trade volume exceeded $1.5 billion last year, with Czech companies investing over $90 million in 30 projects in Vietnam.
Both sides have a strong interest in further increasing economic cooperation at the government and corporate levels. Vietnam’s strong and sustainable economic growth, as well as its rapid modernization, have made it an attractive destination for Czech investors.
The largest Czech car manufacturer, Škoda Auto, has already chosen Vietnam as its production hub in Southeast Asia and is currently taking steps to enter the Vietnamese market.
