The Vietnam Night witnesses the participation of more than 600 international delegates, including directors of international film festivals, filmmakers, directors, film production, and distribution companies worldwide.

When addressing the event, Nguyen Tan Kiet, head of the Division of Arts under the HCM City Department of Culture and Sports, emphasizes that the introduction of the HIFF during Vietnam Night is a significant step in showcasing the Vietnamese movie industry to the world and promoting further cultural exchanges among different countries.

To enhance the prestige of HIFF 2024, the organisation board has invited Mr. Kim Dong-ho, the founder and former chairman of the Busan International Film Festival, to serve as its honorary chairman.

The first edition of HIFF is scheduled to take place from April 6 to April 13 next year, attracting hundreds of filmmakers, actors, and actresses from around the world.

The highlight of the event will be an exhibition on the film industry, workshops on the Vietnamese and global film industries, along with short training courses.

Moreover, local movie enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy the finest and latest movies, as well as meet their favorite celebrities. The cine show, featuring a series of music and fashion shows, is expected to provide visitors with unique experiences while also honoring both the Vietnamese and global film industries.
