The Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association has recently established four new units, namely the Debrecen, School year 1967, Vietnamese Overseas Student in Szeged, and MTV. Representatives of these units received the establishment decision. Pham Van Hien, the head of the Unit of Vietnamese Overseas Students in Szeged, revealed that the unit has over 30 members who are alumni in Szeged since 1967. Before the establishment of the unit, members had scattered activities such as meetings on anniversaries. The establishment gives the members a chance to bond closely and comply with the general regulations of the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association. This will contribute to cultivating the friendship between the two countries.

During the event, Tibor Baloghdi, Ambassador of Hungary to Vietnam, congratulated the newly established units and expressed his wish for more young people to participate in activities that enhance the people-to-people friendship between the two countries. The Ambassador also emphasized that the Hungarian National Day celebration held in Vietnam proves the friendship between the two countries.

The Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association currently has three member units at the central level and three member associations at the local level. Its system has about 2,000 members nationwide. These members, with their expertise in the Hungarian language, long-time stay in Hungary, and working relationships with Hungarian partners, serve as translators and important bridges to preserve and develop the long-standing friendship between the two countries. They also facilitate business connections, investment opportunities, trade and tourism, and cooperation in training and research between Vietnamese and Hungarian universities.
Vu Hoang Linh, Chairman of the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association, stated that the association will continue to promote its role as a bridge and further enhance cooperation and exchange between the two countries in the fields of education, culture, and trade. The association will also strengthen information and external communication to promote the innovative image of Vietnam to Hungarian friends and the Vietnamese community in Hungary. The establishment of the four new units will build more bridges connecting the Vietnam-Hungary friendship.
