The National Tourist Area Management Board of Tuyen Lam Lake announced on July 24 that it has become the first site in Vietnam and the only one in Asia to receive the title of “Outstanding Asia-Pacific Tourism Area”.
According to UNESCO’s criteria, the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area has been assessed as fully meeting the requirements for sustainable economic development and promoting national cultural values. As a result, it has been listed as a typical tourist area in the Asia-Pacific region.

The award ceremony took place during the “Vietnam – India Cultural and Economic Exchange” forum, as well as the commendation ceremony honoring intellectuals, managers, scientists, social activists, and entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions in the Asia-Pacific region.
Tuyen Lam Lake, located 6km south of Da Lat in the Lam Dong province, covers an area of 350ha. It is a scenic destination created by the Tia Stream, the headwater of the Da Tam River. Tuyen Lam Lake offers various types of tourism, including sightseeing, camping, health care, trekking, mountaineering, fishing, and visiting historical sites.

Overcoming strong competition, the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area fulfilled all the necessary criteria, including tax obligations and document translation in English. This achievement reaffirms its commitment to providing high-quality resort tourism services to international tourists.
Known for its fresh air, tranquil atmosphere, and natural beauty, Tuyen Lam Lake is set to become a major attraction for ecotourism and a variety of recreational activities such as camping, fishing, and mountaineering. Visitors can also experience the breathtaking views of Tuyen Lam Lake from a cable car or enjoy the unique landscape of Da Lat.
