Residents and visitors to Quy Nhon City in Vietnam's central province of Binh Dinh have been treated to a spectacular sight of numerous hot-air balloons floating in the sky.
The provincial tourism authority on Tuesday afternoon launched the inaugural hot-air balloon festival of this coastal locality at Quy Nhon Square in the city of the same name. Excitement was in the air as the square filled with onlookers eager to witness the spectacle of the colorful balloons taking off into the sky. The event was made even more special by the presence of local dignitaries and representatives of the tourism authority, who shared their enthusiasm for the event. The festival showcased a wide variety of hot-air balloons in all shapes and sizes, creating a beautiful sight for the visitors. The festival will take place from April 25th to May 5th.
According to the event organizer, early risers can enjoy free-floating hot-air balloon rides beginning at 6:00 am each day. Each balloon basket has a capacity of two passengers and one pilot. Don’t miss out on this amazing experience!
The free-floating hot-air balloon flights typically last between 45-60 minutes, soaring up to heights of 300-500 meters and covering distances of 5-10 kilometers from the launch point. Enjoy the breathtaking views and the unforgettable experience of a hot-air balloon flight!
As for tethered balloon rides, they are available between 5:30 am and 7:30 am, offering passengers the chance to soar up to 30-50 meters into the air for five minutes.
