Covering an area of over 1,000sq.m, SongLab is the first digital art space in Vietnam, providing visitors with an unparalleled opportunity to explore and experience digital art in a sprawling space. Boasting a wide range of interactive and immersive exhibits, SongLab promises to be an unforgettable experience for all who visit. From interactive digital installations to virtual reality experiences, SongLab is a must-visit destination for all art lovers. Whether you’re looking to explore the cutting edge of digital art or simply want to take in the stunning visuals, SongLab has something for everyone. So, come and experience the future of digital art today!

The space, which is jointly organised by Duong Do, founder of Toong co-working space network, and visual artist Tung Monkey, with the participation of many Vietnamese visual and sound artists, holds the promise of a uniquely elevated living experience for all visitors.

SongLab plans to open its doors to the public by May 2023, providing Hue residents with a source of pride and renewed connections, as well as an awe-inspiring attraction for domestic and international tourists alike. With its opening, SongLab is set to become a destination like no other.

The opening of this digital art space holds great significance as it marks 30 years since the Hue Citadel Relics complex was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Located in the heart of the former royal capital city, this cutting-edge entertainment and art space is sure to entice local residents and international tourists alike, contributing to the tourism industry of Hue and Vietnam as a whole. By providing an array of avant-garde technologies, this next-gen space has the potential to become a crowning jewel of the region.

“The scope of SongLab is far more ambitious than my earlier efforts. Instead of being situated in bustling cities like Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, SongLab is taking shape in the elegant city of Hue. This presents a fascinating challenge for me. When SongLab is completed, it will create a new benchmark for modern digital art spaces in Vietnam,” Tung Monkey declared.

As curators, Tung Monkey and The Visual 084 have been collaborating with talented up-and-coming visual artists, including Dustin Ngo, Minh Nhat, Cuong Nguyen, Julian Tuan, Kyunri Vien, Ngoc Quy, and Travis Cohantz.

Together, they are crafting unique visual stories in the hue-based digital art space, immersing audiences in breathtaking experiences that are powered by state-of-the-art 3D mapping technologies. These same technologies have enabled massive, large-scale art installations at Changi Airport and Marina Bay in Singapore.

Duong Do, Creative Director and Manager Executive of SongLab, expresses his gratitude for the support and collaboration he has received from Tung Monkey and countless artists and artisans from Hue, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City during the development of SongPlatform, a 9,000-square-meter commercial and entertainment complex that is set to become the beating heart of Hue.

SongPlatform is a huge step forward in Do’s grand plan to create a comprehensive ecosystem for work, leisure, pleasure, art, shopping, food, and education, which he first began by establishing Toong co-working space in 2015. SongPlatform is striving to open its doors by May 2023.
