| The Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City signed a MoU with the Department of External Relations of Can Tho City. |
In May 2023, Can Tho City will send a delegation to promote investment, trade, and tourism in India.
The city asked India to support the delegation during the working trip to visit and work with the Indian Institute of Technology, create favorable conditions for Indian investors in information technology to enter the Centralized Information Technology Park of Can Tho City; exchange of experiences on economic and tourism development.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Can Tho City Nguyen Thuc Hien discussed the activities of the delegation to promote investment, trade and tourism in India.
He also proposed directions for cooperation between the two sides focusing on the fields of high-tech agriculture, processing industry, investment cooperation, tourism, health, education, training, and information technology.
“Can Tho hopes that India will support the organization of the seminar “India – Can Tho City”. This seminar aims to connect Indian importers with exporters of rice, seafood, agricultural products and processed agricultural products of Can Tho City. It also introduces and promotes tourism in the city,” said Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Can Tho City.
Madan Mohan Sethi, Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City said that Can Tho is a city with many strengths and potentials. He demonstrates to support the promotion of cooperation activities in the areas proposed by the city.

Madan Mohan Sethi said that Can Tho’s business trip to promote investment, trade and tourism in India in May is considered a good opportunity for the city to find potential partners and strengthen cooperation between the two sides.
During the visit of the delegation of Can Tho City, India will create conditions and support them to visit and work in two states of India.
Madan Mohan Sethi also suggested that Can Tho City promote potential projects to attract investment from both sides.
The Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City is committed to supporting two-way tourism promotion. He said he would arrange working sessions for relevant Indian agencies in the fields of trade, investment, healthcare, education and training, information technology, import and export activities according to needs of both sides.

On this occasion, the Department of External Relations of Can Tho City and the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation and friendship activities between the two sides. the two sides agreed to strengthen information exchange to organize activities of cooperation in many fields, especially education, culture, art, information technology, tourism, trade and investment promotion. |
