The match that will take place at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi on November 21 will be Vietnam’s second game in Group F during the second qualifiers.
Prior to this, they played against the Philippines at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila on November 16.
Vietnam’s next scheduled match is against Indonesia in March 2024.
The second round of 2026 World Cup qualification in Asia consists of 36 teams divided into nine groups, each group having four teams. These teams will compete in home-and-away matches from November 2023 to June 2024.
The winners and runners-up of each group will advance to the third round and secure automatic qualification for the 2027 Asian Cup.
In the third round, the 18 qualifying teams will be divided into three groups, each consisting of six teams.
The winners and runners-up from each group will secure direct qualification for the World Cup.
The four available ticket denominations for the Vietnam-Iraq game are VND600,000 (US$24.5), VND450,000 ($18.3), VND300,000 ($12.2), and VND200,000 ($8).
The ticket issuance and payment method will be facilitated through the VinID application.

Sales will start at 9:15 am on November 7 and end at 11:59 pm on November 11, or when tickets are sold out, whichever comes first.
To purchase tickets through the VinID application, interested spectators can choose their preferred ticket type and make the payment using VinID Pay e-wallet, a domestic card, or an international card.
Users are advised to download or update the VinID application to the latest version and use their identity card or passport to complete the necessary procedures.
The tickets will be delivered to customers’ registered addresses using the service provided by Vietnam Post. The expected date for ticket receipt is November 12.
In preparation for the two upcoming matches, head coach Philippe Troussier announced the Vietnam team roster on Thursday afternoon.
According to the schedule, the team will start training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center in Hanoi on Monday.
Subsequently, on November 13, the team will depart for Manila to make final preparations for the opening match against the Philippines team.
