According to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, the Northern mountainous region is currently experiencing severe cold, and in some places, harmful cold. Due to the influence of strong cold air, the North and Thanh Hoa have been experiencing freezing temperatures since the night of January 21.

Harmful cold can have negative effects on people’s health, so it is recommended for individuals to wear warm clothing and take care of themselves during these days.

The Weather Forecast in Different Regions

Northwest region: The weather forecast predicts rain and clouds with thunderstorms in some areas. Thunderstorms can bring tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds. The lowest temperature ranges from 6-9 degrees, with some places dipping below 2 degrees. The highest temperature is expected to be between 13-16 degrees. Notably, there are regions in the Northwest where temperatures can reach above 17 degrees.

Northeast region: Overcast skies and scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected. The wind from the Northeast will range from level 2-3. It will be chilly. Thunderstorms can bring tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds. The lowest temperature will range from 9-12 degrees, with mountainous regions experiencing temperatures of 6-9 degrees. The highest temperature will be between 12-15 degrees.

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: Expect cloudy and rainy weather with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas. Thunderstorms can bring tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds. The lowest temperature in the north will be 11-13 degrees and in the south, between 18-21 degrees. The highest temperature in the north will range from 15-18 degrees, while the south will see a range of 23-26 degrees.

Da Nang – Binh Thuan: The weather during the day will be a mix of clouds and sunshine, with rain at night. The lowest temperature will range from 21-24 degrees, while the highest will be between 28-31 degrees.

The Central Highlands: Expect a combination of cloudy and sunny weather during the day, with showers at night. The lowest temperature will be between 16-19 degrees, while the highest will range from 28-31 degrees, with some regions experiencing temperatures above 31 degrees.

The Southern region: The weather will be a mix of clouds and sunshine during the day, with showers expected at night. The lowest temperature will range from 22-25 degrees. The highest temperature will be between 31-34 degrees, with some areas exceeding 34 degrees.

Hanoi: Expect cloudy and rainy weather with freezing temperatures at night. The lowest temperature will be between 10-12 degrees, while the highest will range from 12-14 degrees.
