The World’s Beauty contest 2020 tool place from May 1-15 by Agora- a renowned photo-sharing app. During the contest, the organization board received 18,920 works from all over the world, and only 50 of which were chosen to the final round.

“Praying on Nhu Y River” photo is captured in July 2019 by Hanoi-based photographer Giang Khong depicting two girls in “Ao dai” (Vietnamese traditional costume) are releasing floating candles on Nhu Y River, Hue.
“This is the second time I have gone to Hue to take photographs. I am incredibly impressed by romantic, peaceful scenery and friendly people here. During the Vietnamese national holidays, locals often release candles on the river to pray for health and happiness”, Khong said.

The second photo named in the final round is “The sunrise” taken by Bui Quoc Ky photographer. It captures the beauty of dawn in Nam Cuong sand dune in Phan Rang-Thap Cham, the capital of Ninh Thuan Province. The author shared the best time to watch the sunrise is from 5 a.m to 7 a.m.

The contest’s first prize belongs to “The Free-diving Underwater Caves” work by Spanish photographer Victor de Valles. Victor said that he took this photo after the removal of lockdown.
