Jebsen & Jessen Technology is proud to announce its recent acquisition of the IPD business. This new addition will be known as “MHE” and will continue to operate under the existing MHE branding. MHE will now serve as the material handling equipment division of Jebsen & Jessen Technology, offering a comprehensive range of industrial and material handling products. These products include dock levelers and door systems, mechanical car park systems, building maintenance units, boom lifts and Aerial Work Platforms, warehouse trucks, and lift systems, among others. MHE’s services will cover manufacturing, engineering, renting, trading, supplying, and servicing of these products. This business expansion spans across Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

“We are pleased to announce the addition of the MHE-Demag Industrial Products (IPD) team, consisting of 300 talented individuals, to the Jebsen & Jessen Group. With their existing market dominance in certain segments, our goal is to establish ourselves as the market leader across the entire portfolio. We are fully committed to investing in both our team members and the business itself, as we strive to achieve our growth objectives,” stated Per Magnusson, Group CEO of Jebsen & Jessen Group. “This acquisition perfectly aligns with our Advance & Build strategy and builds upon our esteemed reputation as a trusted provider of high-quality industrial products and value-added solutions,” Magnusson concludes.

The IPD business being acquired by Jebsen & Jessen Group is a division of MHE-Demag, a member of the Konecranes Group. Previously, MHE-Demag was a joint venture between Jebsen & Jessen and Demag. In January 2020, Konecranes acquired Jebsen & Jessen’s 50% stake in MHE-Demag. As part of their strategic focus on their core industrial service and lifting equipment business, Konecranes has decided to divest its IPD business to Jebsen & Jessen Group through this deal.

With a history dating back to 1972, our company has been at the forefront of providing cutting-edge systems for renowned landmarks in the region. Notable projects include iconic buildings like the Petronas Twin Tower, Merdeka 118, and KL Tower in Malaysia, as well as Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. We have also contributed to the success of BNI 46 in Indonesia, Bitexco Financial Tower in Vietnam, and Okada Manila in the Philippines.

Furthermore, our expertise extended to the design and implementation of the retractable roof for the Singapore Sports Hub, which now stands as the largest free-spanning dome stadium in the world. Rest assured, our team is dedicated to delivering top-quality solutions to meet the most demanding architectural and engineering challenges.

“The decision to divest our IPD business back to Jebsen & Jessen is in line with our strategic focus on our core businesses in the region and capitalizing on our recent acquisition of full ownership in MHE-Demag. Throughout our review, Jebsen & Jessen emerged as the ideal partner with a compelling vision and strategy for the IPD business. We have full confidence that the industrial product business will thrive under its new ownership,” stated Marko Tulokas, Senior Vice President of Industrial Service & Equipment for the APAC region at Konecranes.

After the completion of the acquisition, Jebsen & Jessen Group will welcome around 300 talented employees from Konecranes, as well as all MHE products and solutions. The acquired business will continue to operate with its current commercial presence, ensuring uninterrupted operations and business continuity.
