Hanoi has been honored with three awards, including Asia’s Leading City Destination 2023, Asia’s Leading City Break Destination 2023, and Asia’s Leading City Tourist Board. This is the first time Hanoi’s travel industry regulator, the Hanoi Tourism Department, has received the prestigious Asia’s Leading City Tourist Board award.

According to Dang Huong Giang, Director of the department, the awards Hanoi has received are all in vital categories of the WTA award system, based on criteria related to local tourism activities. She said the awards are significant to the capital’s tourism industry because the inbound market has yet to recover as expected after the Covid-19 pandemic. “The awards can help enhance the brand and reaffirm Hanoi’s important and solid position on the regional tourism map,” she said.
