In the 111th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Modi shared an audio clip from a radio program broadcast in Kuwait, highlighting the strong cultural ties between India and Kuwait. The program, aired in Hindi every Sunday, showcases the vibrant Indian culture and has gained popularity within the Indian community in Kuwait.

PM Modi expressed his gratitude to the Kuwaiti government for this initiative, stating, “I heartily thank the Government and people of Kuwait for taking this wonderful initiative. It is a matter of pride for every Indian to see our culture being celebrated on a global stage.”

The first-ever Hindi radio broadcast in Kuwait commenced in April, and it has since become a platform to discuss Indian films and art, connecting with the Indian diaspora in the country.

As a tribute to their national poet, Turkmenistan celebrated the 300th birth anniversary with the unveiling of statues of 24 renowned poets from around the world, including India’s Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. PM Modi acknowledged this honor, recognizing the global impact of Tagore’s literary genius.

The Indian diaspora in the Caribbean nations of Suriname and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines celebrated their Indian heritage with great enthusiasm in June. PM Modi highlighted the strong Indian presence in these countries, with Hindi and Bhojpuri being widely spoken in Suriname and approximately 6,000 individuals of Indian origin in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines proudly embracing their cultural roots.

He added, “Every Indian feels a sense of pride when we witness the global reach and influence of our heritage and culture, as evidenced by the joyous celebrations of the Indian Arrival Day in these countries.”

This year also marked the 10th anniversary of the International Day of Yoga, celebrated worldwide on June 21. PM Modi joined the festivities by participating in a yoga program organized in Kashmir. He reflected on the global adoption of yoga, which was first proposed by India to the United Nations in 2014, recognizing its benefits for physical and mental well-being.

Since 2015, PM Modi has led International Day of Yoga celebrations at iconic locations, including Kartavya Path in Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Ranchi, Lucknow, Mysuru, Kashmir, and even the United Nations Headquarters in New York, spreading the message of yoga’s holistic benefits.
