Books about President Ho Chi Minh Presented to Vietnamese People in Cuba

The Embassy of Vietnam in Cuba has been presented with a selection of books about the life and work of President Ho Chi Minh, in order to provide the Vietnamese diaspora in Cuba with important information about the iconic leader.

On the occasion of his visit to Cuba, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented a commemorative selection of books about President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career to the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community residing in the island nation.

These books, which are said to be full of inspiring stories and anecdotes, will help to further strengthen the bond between the two nations and commemorate the legacy of President Ho Chi Minh.

This activity is part of the initiatives to commemorate the internationally renowned President Ho Chi Minh, undertaken by the Cultural Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with UNESCO and the National Political Publishing House of Truth. These initiatives aim to preserve and promote Vietnam’s intangible heritage.

The introduction of books about President Ho Chi Minh to the overseas Vietnamese community is a highly meaningful and beneficial activity to fulfill the directives of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and especially the Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo (13th tenure). This conclusion underscores the need to continue to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo (12th tenure) on “Promoting the learning and following of Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style” for overseas Vietnamese. Through the introduction of these books, overseas Vietnamese can deepen their understanding of Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style, thus contributing to the successful implementation of this directive.

Two renowned books, namely The World People’s Affection For President Ho Chi Minh published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2022 and Some Theoretical and Practical Issues on Socialism and the Path Towards Socialism in Vietnam, along with several supplementary works relating to President Ho Chi Minh, are all paper books.

The bookcase boasts an impressive selection of more than 70 books, including classic works, Party documents, books written by and about President Ho Chi Minh, literature on the construction of the Party and the political system of the current era, books on socialism and Vietnam’s journey to socialism, as well as publications that tackle incorrect and hostile views, safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation.

These superior publications, which boast an abundance of both theoretical and practical value, are compiled by renowned scholars and specialists and are overseen by some of the Party’s premier theoretical research establishments, such as the Central Propaganda Department, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Central Theoretical Council, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Defense.
