It is a large-scale robotics tournament that helps students across the country have hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, and math furthering their learning outcomes. It is also expected to facilitate students develop necessary soft skills for the future, such as computational thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
According to Tran Viet Hung, STEAM for Vietnam Foundation co-founder, for the first time in history, 20 teams of the Vietnamese delegation will officially compete against more than 3,000 other teams around the world at the 2023 VEX Robotics World Championship.
STEAM for Vietnam is delighted that students from all regions of Vietnam are given the opportunity to study and compete with the highest standards and international integration, he said, adding that the experience of competing at the world championships in the US certainly will have a huge impact on awareness and help children gradually gain the essential skills and experience necessary to be able to compete in the global market in the future.
“We hope that the 20 teams participating in 2023 VEX Robotics World Championship for the first time will be a living proof of ‘I can do anything’ mindset to inspire more students to participate in robotics design and programming in Vietnam, the first steps to become engineers in the future,” Hung stressed.
