The 50 Over 50 list was initially published in 2021 and is dedicated to highlighting women who have proven that success has no age limit.
According to Forbes, it consists of 50 women who are actively embracing their power in their sixth decade and beyond.
The women on the third annual 50 Over 50: Asia list come from 14 countries and territories and represent over two dozen sectors.
They exert their influence in various industries, including fashion, pharma, finance, and more.
Forbes introduced Tuyet as a “household staple” in Vietnam, renowned for her iconic cai luong performances.
In 1995, she earned a Ph.D. in art, and in her 60s, she was acknowledged as a People’s Artist, the highest recognition for individuals in the creative industry in her country.

Forbes also commended Tuyet for winning a 2022 TikTok Vietnam Award for her rendition of ‘Về Nghe Mẹ Ru’ (Coming Home to Listen to Mommy’s Lullaby).
Her collaborations with contemporary art forms, including hip-hop, have accumulated nearly 20 million views.
The Forbes 50 Over 50: Asia 2024 list also includes Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue, Indian photographer Dayanita Singh, Lee Sue Kyung – CEO of renowned beauty brand SK-II, and Christine Hakim, known as the Grand Dame of Indonesian cinema.
In 2022, Forbes recognized two Vietnamese individuals on the list: Thai Huong, renowned for her groundbreaking contributions to Vietnam’s agricultural sector as the chairwoman of milk producer TH Group, and Truong Thi Le Khanh, the founder and builder of Vinh Hoan into a publicly listed company and Vietnam’s largest catfish producer since 2010.
