The Embassy of Peru in Vietnam is organizing an exhibition featuring traditional Peruvian pottery. This unique event will provide the public in the capital with the opportunity to appreciate one of Peru’s most iconic symbols.
The exhibition will showcase 18 meticulously crafted ceramic artworks that display distinctive designs, decorations, and a high aesthetic value. These pieces highlight the immense creativity and exceptional skills of various Peruvian ceramic artists.
This cultural event is part of a larger initiative led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru, in collaboration with the Municipality of the “Leal Villa de Pucará” and 10 associations of Pucará artisans. These associations comprise over 500 ceramic artisans who are dedicated to preserving and nurturing the ancient pottery tradition.
The exhibition will also feature the participation of two Vietnamese painters, Le Huy and Tran Anh Tuan. The artists will collaborate to create Pucará Bull artworks, incorporating traditional Vietnamese painting techniques.
Ambassador of Peru to Vietnam, Augusto Morelli Salgado, believes that this exhibition will deepen the understanding of traditional culture between the two countries, thus strengthening the friendship relations.
In addition, the Embassy of Peru, in collaboration with Puppets Studio art workshop, will organize a Pucará bull statue decoration event under the theme of “Make your own amule” from September 16 to September 17. This event will be free for all visitors.
Since 2022, this exhibition has been traveling to various countries around the world. In Asia, these ceramic artworks have been displayed in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia. After Vietnam, the Pucará bull collection will continue its journey to India.
