This comes following the Long An native winning the Best National Costume segment along with contestants from Thailand, the UK, and Peru. In the competition she performed whilst donning an outfit with the theme of “Truc Chi”, with her clothes drawing inspiration from a kind of traditional painting originating from Hue in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue. The Vietnamese beauty used the segment as an opportunity to greatly impressed both judges and audiences by wearing an outfit weighing 14 kg designed by Tran Thanh Tam.
The Vietnamese beauty also won the “Country’s power of the year” sub-contest, earning a place to go straight into the Top 20 in the process. She was also named among the Top 10 of the ‘Best in Swimsuit’ sub-contest.
Thien An, 22, was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 on October 1. Standing at 1.75 metres tall, she is currently a student at the Industrial University in Ho Chi Minh City. She weighs 60 kg and measures 88.5-66-98.
This year saw the Miss Grand International 2022 crown go to Isabella Menin of Brazil. Elsewhere, the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up spots went to the Engfa Waraha of Thailand, Andina Julie of Indonesia, Luiseth Materán of Venezuela, and Mariana Beckova of the Czech Republic.
