Brazil’s Young Striker Endrick: Calm, Confident, and Ready
Brazil’s newest striking sensation, Endrick, is taking the football world by storm. The 17-year-old, who recently signed for Real Madrid from Palmeiras, is aware of the challenge ahead as he aims to break into the Brazilian starting lineup. With the likes of Raphinha, Vinicius Jr., and Rodrygo already established in the attack, Endrick knows he has a fight on his hands.
“It’s all in God’s hands now,” Endrick told reporters at a press conference on Friday. “I’m incredibly grateful to have Abel Ferreira as my coach. He knew exactly when to bring me into the team, and I owe a lot to him and Professor Dorival Jr., who is an amazing coach. He always has the best interests of the Brazilian team at heart.”
Endrick has already made history, becoming the youngest player to score in an international match at Wembley. His goal gave Brazil a 1-0 victory over England in March, and he followed this up with goals against Spain and Mexico in warm-up fixtures ahead of the Copa America. The young forward has a ruthless streak and an unwavering confidence that belies his age.
“I’ve had to grow up fast,” Endrick admitted. “Since turning professional, I’ve faced older, more experienced opponents who have tried to intimidate me, insult me, and even talk about my family and girlfriend. But I quickly learned to block it out and stay focused. It’s all part of the game, and I’m calm and ready to contribute to the team’s success.”
Brazil will also face Paraguay and Colombia in Group D, and with Endrick in their ranks, they possess a potent attacking threat that could take them all the way.
