Nature-based tourism is taking off in Cam Lam District, with resorts along Bai Dai Beach embracing eco-friendly practices and offering unique experiences. By creating farms and gardens, these resorts are providing an immersive experience for tourists, allowing them to connect with nature and local life.
One notable example is the Alma Resort near Bai Dai Beach, which has dedicated a portion of its land to farming. This farm boasts a vibrant array of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and even chickens, offering a glimpse into sustainable agricultural practices.
The resort representative shared that tourists, especially families with children, are drawn to this farm experience. They get to live like farmers for a day, engaging in activities such as sowing seeds, watering vegetables, and collecting fresh eggs. It’s a fun and educational way to spend time as a family.
Le Thi Thuy, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared her appreciation for the green space: “I love the garden at the resort. Being able to take photos amidst the greenery and harvest my own vegetables and fruits to bring back to my room is a unique experience.”
The trend towards green tourism is also reflected in the furniture and decorations used at these resorts. Le Nguyen Ai Quynh, manager of Truong Son Craft Village, explained that natural materials like rattan and wood create a comfortable and familiar atmosphere for visitors, providing a cool and relaxing environment on hot days.
This shift towards eco-tourism has been encouraged by the provincial government, recognizing the benefits it brings to both visitors and the environment. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, director of the provincial Department of Tourism, shared that they have been promoting green tourism practices among travel firms, and the results are promising.
With resorts embracing nature and sustainability, tourists are treated to a unique and responsible travel experience, one that leaves a positive impact on the environment and local communities.
