Phuong, the Vietnamese beauty queen, arrived at the contest with over 140kg of luggage and more than 30 outfits. She emerged victorious out of 36 other Miss World Vietnam 2022 contestants last August and is now representing Vietnam in the 71st Miss World pageant. Standing at 1.70 meters tall and measuring 82-63-92 cm, Phuong is currently an emcee and has appeared on various television programs.
In recent years, Vietnamese representatives have achieved notable success at the Miss World pageant. Luong Thuy Linh reached the Top 12 in 2019, and Do Thi Ha was among the Top 13 finalists in 2021.
India hosted the beauty contest once before in 1996. Throughout its 70-year history, Indian beauties have been crowned Miss World six times. The most recent winner was Manushi Chhillar in 2017.
This year, approximately 130 countries have confirmed their participation in the pageant, which is scheduled to take place in New Delhi and Mumbai from February 18. The grand finale will be held in Mumbai on March 9.
Seminar focuses on Vietnam-India joint civilisation heritage
