As a part of a project on building and promoting the national brand for the “Vietnam International Photography Festival” in the 2020-2030 period, as approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2020, the logo design contest aims to promote the development of the photography sector, contributing to introducing Vietnamese culture, landscapes, people, and tourism, enhancing international exchange in all fields through photography.
The contest is open to individuals and organisations both inside and outside the country.
Entries must have their own character, creativity, and cultural integration, and be in line with the goal of promoting the photography sector’s national brand in the international market. Entries must feature no more than four colours and should be suitable for both printing and carving.
Applicants can send a maximum of five entries in A4 to the photography department at the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition, at No.38 Cao Ba Quat Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, until July 30, 2021.
The selected logo will be used in the communication efforts to promote the festival, which will be held every two years in whichever locality is hosting the “National Tourism Year”.
An awards ceremony is scheduled for October. The total prize value is more than VND 50 million, including a first prize worth VND 30 million.
The results of the contest will be announced on the website of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition and in the media. The results will also be sent to the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Departments of Culture and Sports; Departments of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism of provinces and centrally run cities across the country.
The "Vietnam International Photography Festival" and the logo design contest are considered the initial basis for building a Vietnamese photography brand, an address to connect friends around the world who love culture and photography; promoting the beauty of nature, people, local culture; and the quintessence of world photography.
