The long-awaited event, which will be co-hosted by Vietnamese songwriter Nguyen Hai Phong and director Nguyen Hieu Tam, along with Rocket Buffalo, is set to commence on February 9, 2024.
This will serve as a prelude to Super Bowl LVIII, the championship game of American football for the 2023 NFL season, scheduled to take place on February 11, 2024.
As this event coincides with Vietnam’s Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, Vietnamese cultural heritage will be showcased for the first time at the Vegas LVIII Pregame Warm Up, celebrating the beauty and people of Vietnam.
A lineup of Vietnamese artists and rappers, including De Choat, Blacka, LangLD, SMO, Voltalk, Mikelodic, Lil Wyn, RIC, Thai VG, Kwin, and Kwzzzy, will be flying to the US for the event.
In addition, a collection of Vietnamese Ao Dai, designed by Tuan Hai, is expected to be showcased during the event.
The presence of these artists at the tailgate party will not only boost the Vietnamese community in the US, but also allow them to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of American sports and the Tet holiday.
Earlier, singer Tuan Hung made history as the first Vietnamese artist to announce his participation in Super Bowl 2024 as a pre-show performer. He confirmed his invitation to the Super Bowl Pregame Warm-Up on his Facebook account back in September.
For many years, the Super Bowl has been one of the most-watched sporting events worldwide and has become an integral part of American culture. The Super Bowl warmup and halftime shows consistently generate significant buzz and frequently go viral online.
