The highlight of the event will be a culture and art week running with the theme of “The Quintessence of Vietnamese Traditional Crafts”.

For the first time there will be a broad array of vibrant activities on offer to promote local craft villages to the world. In line with this, exhibitions on handicraft products and performances by craftsmen are expected to attract both domestic and foreign visitors.

A street parade, Ao Dai (traditional long dress) festival and lotus-shaped lantern festival on the Huong (Perfume) River will offer a fresh experience for tourists.

The festival is estimated to see the gathering of hundreds performers from domestic troupes and international art troupes from across the world.

They will take part in an art programme at the opening ceremony of the festival, a street carnival, and a music programme featuring famous song by composer Trinh Cong Son and many celebrities globally.

Furthermore, a food festival and sports games will also be held during the festival.
