Prigent Loïc’s “Jean Paul Gaultier” has been chosen to open the festival as a curtain raiser.

Jean Paul Gaultier, who presented his final fashion show in January 2020, returns with a new documentary directed by Loïc Prigent. The French filmmaker, who previously collaborated with the designer on the film “Jean Paul Gaultier travaille” in 2015, takes viewers behind the scenes of Gaultier’s last and most spectacular show at the Théâtre du Châtelet. The documentary has a runtime of 52 minutes.

Other documentaries, including “Isabel Marant: Naissance d’une collection” by Miceli Dominique, “Cartier la petite boite rouge” by Azoulai Minou and Brand Marie, and “La ligne Balmain” by Prigent Loïc, will be shown prior to “Qui etes-vous polly maggoo?” directed by Klein William, which will close the event on December 7.

The festival is part of the 2023 Season 2 program themed “Fashion and Design,” which takes place from September to the end of the year. It includes various activities such as fashion and design seminars, high-fashion nights, fashion film festivals, and the Fashion in Paris competition.

This event is one of the many activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between France and Vietnam.
