The host side included former national players Le Huynh Duc, Pham Van Quyen, Le Cong Vinh, and Le Quoc Vuong, as well as current stars of the national team such as Que Ngoc Hai, Do Hung Dung, Pham Tuan Hai, and Doan Van Hau.
Although the famous players from Germany were no longer at the peak of their form, Mladen Petric and David Odonkor scored one goal each and Mohamed Zidan netted twice to claim the 4-1 victory.
Vietnam All Stars’ only goal was earned by Le Cong Vinh.

The True Love program is co-organized by Vietnamese digital content provider Next Media, the Ho Chi Minh City chapter of the Vietnam Youth Union, BVB, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (GIC), and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to support children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in the southern Vietnamese city.
