The 11th edition of the fest will run until Sunday, featuring up to 250 booths of various traditional cakes, dishes and specialties.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Thuc Hien, vice-chairman of the municipal administration, said that the annual festival has contributed to raising the culinary value of the southern region.

Besides, the fest helps popularize the city’s tourist sites and tourism products among local and international travelers.

Various cakes made and delicately designed by local artisans and cooks are on display to serve fest-goers.

Their main ingredients are sticky rice and vegetables.

Within the framework of the festival, a folk cake-making contest will be held to delight visitors.

The event will also amaze fest-goers with some new draws, including a huge sizzling crepe, an airy space, and a miniature of the Thuan Hung rice paper craft village in the city’s Thot Not District.
