Mexican cuisine is not only a culinary art, but it also encompasses farming, rituals, ancient skills, and ancestral customs, as recognized by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
In 2010, Mexican cuisine was officially recognized by UNESCO and added to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Being the first ethnic cuisine to receive this prestigious title, it is a testament to the rich traditions and history of Mexico’s culinary heritage.
