The festival is set to showcase a variety of engaging activities that will provide locals and visitors of the southern metropolis with an inspiring and immersive experience of the city’s history and culture. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, the director of the municipal Department of Tourism, shared this information during a meeting held on Tuesday.
To support the development of package tours, two local airlines under the Vietnam Airlines Group have announced discounts of up to 82% on domestic flights to and from the city until December 23rd of this year.
Vietnam’s low-cost airline, Vietjet Air, will offer promotional fares starting from VND0 (excluding taxes and fees) for domestic flights to Ho Chi Minh City. These fares will be available daily between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm on all domestic routes. Additionally, passengers flying with Vietjet on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays will enjoy promotional fares from VND0 (excluding taxes and fees), along with discounts on special dates such as August 8th (8-8) and September 9th (9-9).
Furthermore, travelers can take advantage of discounts of up to 31% on city tours offered by Ben Thanh Tourist, Chim Canh Cut, Saco, Saigontourist, TST, Vietravel, and Vietluxtour. Starting from VND250,000 (US$10.57) per person, visitors can also explore the city on various tours provided by Chim Canh Cut, Saco, Saigontourist, TST, and Vietravel. Moreover, discounted tours to the beautiful outlying district of Can Gio, known as the ‘green lungs’ of Ho Chi Minh City, will be available both by road and water with discounts ranging from 5% to 40%.
Additionally, visitors can enjoy discounts of 10-50% on tickets and services to explore 10 popular tourist attractions throughout the city, including the Museum of Vietnamese History, Cu Chi Tunnels, Suoi Tien Theme Park, Dam Sen Theme Park, Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens, and the Green Park picnic area. Food enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to dine at 21 participating restaurants, including Michelin-starred establishments, offering discounts of 5-50% during the three-day event.
Moreover, festival-goers can take advantage of discounts and gifts from 38 lodging establishments, with reductions ranging from 10% to 52%.
In addition to these travel deals, the festival will feature a range of cultural, entertainment, art, and sports activities for participants to enjoy. The opening ceremony will take place at the Thu Ngu flagpole heritage site in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, and various activities will be held at the Saigon Cruise Port, the Bach Dang Wharf Park, the Binh Dong Wharf, along the banks of Nhieu Loc – Thi Nghe Canal, and at various tourist sites.
