The “phơi cá” (drying fish) in the coastal province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau, southern Vietnam, captured by photographer Khanh Phan, is the sole representative from Vietnam in the “travel photos category.”
Khanh’s photo depicts numerous trays filled with fish, basked under the scorching sun at the Long Hai fish market.
Khanh’s exquisite work has been included among the top 15 early submissions for the annual Sony World Photography Awards 2021. The event comprises of four competitions: professional, open, student, and youth categories. The winners are set to be announced in April 2021, as reported by VNE.
Hailing from Thai Binh Province in the north, Khanh currently resides in Ho Chi Minh City. Over the past three years, she has garnered 30 awards both domestically and internationally. Last year, one of her photos was among the 50 shortlisted images for the prestigious AGORA award, hosted by AGORA, a global platform for photography enthusiasts.
